Rules That Must Always Be Followed

The official OASIS website states the following prohibitions:

Intercourse is completely banned
Secret listening or recording, and secret filming/recording, are banned
Meeting a therapist without going through the shop (private dates outside the shop, or any kind of exclusive personal arrangement) is banned

The ban on intercourse is not just a rule unique to OASIS. It is not permitted under Japanese law (the Anti-Prostitution Law), so shops that operate with proper registration prohibit it.

Who Can and Cannot Use the Service

Only women aged 20 or older can use OASIS. Men cannot use the service.

According to the official Q&A, the following people also cannot use the service:

People who are pregnant
People who are heavily intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
People connected to organized crime groups (boryokudan)
People with a sexually transmitted infection or similar condition

Sessions are not offered during menstruation, but you can discuss adjusting the content instead, such as focusing on relaxation or switching to a date-style session.

Systems for Peace of Mind

You can share your wishes during counseling

After meeting, there is first a counseling session. You will be asked what kind of time you'd like to spend, and what you do and don't want to do. You only need to answer as much as you are comfortable sharing.

You can stop the session at any time

According to the official Q&A, if you feel uncomfortable during the session, you can say so on the spot, and the session can be stopped.

Requests have limits

Requests are accommodated where possible, but anything that goes against the prohibited items or guidelines will be declined.

Therapist STI testing

According to the official Q&A for OASIS Global, therapists are required to take an STI test once a month and to make the results public. On the OASIS Global page, therapists post their test results in their photo diaries under headings such as "STI Test Results".

Privacy

The official OASIS Tokyo Main Store website states that all reception staff are women, that the shop name does not appear on credit card statements, and that personal information is not used for any purpose other than providing the service.
